Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.


Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.

On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

Take control of the state as you weave your way up the criminal ladder, former your own gangs, buying your own property and even building your own casino. GTA: San Andreas is going to take you places that no game has taken you before!

We are all asking the big question, what is San Andreas going to be like? What will be in the game? There have been a few suggestions like being able to fly or have a jet-ski. Well there have been recent official articles on what the gameplay will be. Imagine roaming around three big cities with your own recruited gang members, performing house robberies and four-person drive-bys. You will believe that CJ is real as he has to eat to maintain stamina and work out to keep fit. It won’t be just running around the block a few times like previous GTAs. CJ will be able to go to a gym and lose those extra pounds. If the gym doesn’t suit your style you can take a dip at the local beach. Yes you can swim! The city directly affects your characters progression, abilities, and even appearance.

San Andreas will be much bigger than Vice City as you have already heard. It will also have much more unique places such as a fully operational casino and buildings have fully-rendered interiors.

Don’t be missing Tommy Vercetti because it is said that San Andreas will have appearances and mentioning of past GTA characters as well as well know acting talents. Missions will be made to suit your skill level and you actions while not on mission affect your position on the story line. Last but not least San Andreas will have more modes of transportation with improved car handling.

Yes push bikes and this time round you need to fed your happy little chap with food drink i dont know the whole game is going to be much much bigger and with luck even better online i pray hope the ice cream van makes a come back.

Pretty amazing. Interesting how many many months ago we had a topic about what we would want in the next gta. We mensioned things like swimming, police bikes, hire gang members, do drive bys with them.


Some ideas I thought about seemed like too much at the time, but to see they are actually getting in game, lets me know that a lot of people think the same way I do, and want the same kinds of things.


The weight gain and exercise thing, however, I'm not too sure about. I'm sure I'm worrying for nothing. I just don't want this game to turn into sims where I have to keep my person alive with feeding and wiping his ass, and never enough time to go cruisin around. It'll probably implimented good. It's just... I'm too lazy to exercise in real life, I really don't want to do it in a game. It'll be alright if it doesn't take too much of my time, and he doesn't get too fat too fast.


Would be nice to have the police baton and hit other people on their bike while you are on yours(was fun in road rash )

Sounds cool overall, but the having to eat thing just sounds ridiculous, how many games have been dragged down by pointless crap like that? But we'll see how they put it all together, lookin forward to it.

No doubt the PS2 will hold back Rockstar on this game. With its technical limitations.

They should have put it on the Xbox first, if they used its power to the full, it would be great.
