set screen resolution to 800*600 if u have anything higher.

follow my guide (link in sig) to do msconfig, services.msc, and defragment.

    256 megs vidRAM eh?

head off to the Omega Corner to find tips for mobo settings.

also, get ur hands on the 61.11 drivers. 20% boost in farcry doesnt sound bad does it? (dont get any after 61.11 cuz they lose that performance edge )

Is your card DirectX 9b-certified? Else, download an update from Microsoft.

256mb isn't always best i've read a benchmark using all the different aparture setttings, best one being the 128mb, low ones like 32mb and 16mb were really crappy FPS, and 256mb had compatibility options, Best to just set it to 128mb..
