did u install drivers for it
try installing home network via ur XP cd, there will be an option for how the PC connects to the internet - router/hub

ya, mine disapears all of the time. Usually if i turn off the router, then start it back up the gateway thing will appear, but usually after restarting and stuff it goes again

Also some software firewalls make the gateway disappear.
