    okay my friend is getting a new computer and these are his choices:

    The AMD based one, no question.

    ya i also say go with teh AMD.

    processor is about same performance, but u got double the ram, better speakers, better video card.

    I say it is better value.

    Are these pre-built PCs?
    If so, does he have customizing options or is this a "take-it-or-leave-it" kinda deal?

    deffinatly agree,,

    a couple reaons:
    it has an AMD processor
    it has an ATI gfx card
    double ram
    better speakers..

    basically what everybody else said.
    Gaint Antispyware is the #1 greatest Spyware/Adware cleaner ever created, I recomend it to everybody, even if you don't think you need it.

    I thought the AMD was over priced , in usa funds till I saw the ram . Nice monitor too . Go for it .
