From what i have read, it runs cooler, faster, and OCs better plus it's cheaper.

this is correct. the prescotts arent faster till the 3.4Ghz mark i believe..the 1mb cache just makes it hotter and not faster. Get the C B)

About the video card, I would like to get a x800 XT, but I seriously doubt that is going to happen, so what other cards would you recommend? I've read good things about the 9800XT, anyone here have experience with that one?

I just have to say it. This is an extreme PC for someone who has never had one in the GHz range. I guess that money isn't that important to you or are you sure you wouldn't be just as happy with something a little less hard on your wallet?

Yeah, money is always a factor. I'll probably have to settle for 3200 RAM with cooling, and a lower end video card (not too low tho ). I'm pretty much a pentium guy, and I really want a high-end mobo, I'll just have to get some not-so-bleeding-edge stuff (hense the reason I'm not getting the 3.4EE)

    Get a 2.8C with 512MB of PC3200 ram. A 9800Pro for 210. that will be great
