April Fool's was several weeks ago.

I'm amazed that you had a clothes pin lying around....haven't seen one of them for many years.

Early Datsun 240Zs had a problem with fuel vaporization- mainly due to the incredibly stupid routing of the metal fuel delivery pipe right over the exhaust manifold.
Datsun's original "factory" fix was to clamp several wooden clothespins to the metal pipe in an attempt to dissipate the heat.
I always thought it was hilarious to open the hood of an immaculate Z car and see a row of clothespins alongside the valve cover.

Stupid fix for a stupid problem.
