I use ligher fluid, removes the old thermal paste\pad much easier, only problem is im afraid it will catch fire from teh heat of teh chip so i then wipe the fluid off using rubbing alcohol lol.

cause the rubbing alcohol takes long time to remove the thermal pad...but it removes the fluid in like 1 swipe, as well the fluid can remove the thermal pad in like 2 swipes...
