what ports do I forward for bit torrent and does it matter if i'm on dynamic ip addy?

I know this might be the wrong forum but it's sort of
a software question.

What router do you have?

look in the manual...it tells you.

ummm...your router book's not gonna say which ports BitTorrent use
but it may depend what client you have, trill.
I use Azureus, and it uses 6881 for incoming TCP and the default tracker port is 6969.
If that doesn't work for you, just check out the documentation or the site for the client you use.
