Rather than flaunt my ignorance of US politics I will simply kick this off and watch with interest.

I do note, however, that the Dow Jones is down - is this indicitive of an increased expectation of a Kerry win? (a somewhat skittish straw poll I concede)

Democrats on the hustings are perceived as "bad-for-business"; don't ask me why, or I just might tell you.

    Oh, okay-just for starters:

This one is especially iffy given that there could be no more "liberal" pairing from the Senate (unless it included Edward M. Kennedy), and also because of Mr. Edwards' status as a big-bucks trial-lawyer, and not friendly to business. Tort reform would be assumed a dead issue if they won the election.

    Really, this is not news.

I told you it would be Edwards 4+ months ago; offered to make book on it, in fact.

    Let the fun begin!

Ok we will let you gloat

it’s an election with no Democrats, in one of the whitest states in the union, where rich candidates pay $35 for your votes. Or, as Republicans call it, their vision for the future.

Apparently Edwards has the personality that Kerry lacks.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

I knew it would be Edwards as well.

Btw the Dow is down because interest rates just went up .25.

...not because of anticipation of a Dem win.

Some of you guys are really reaching and conveniently left out the rate hike thingy.

Straight from the horses mouth John Kerry’s on Edwards:

“‘In the Senate four years – and that is the full extent of public life – no international experience, no military experience. You can imagine what the advertising is going to be next year,” Kerry told the New York Times in January. “When I came back from Vietnam in 1969 I don’t know if John Edwards was out of diapers then. Well, I’m sure he was out of diapers.”

    The plot thickens.

Oddly reminiscent of Bush, wouldn't you say?

Except that Bush still has no international experience.

One could argue that he has international experience. It would be more difficult to argue that he has international diplomatic tact.

Not all experiences are good ones, alas.

Correct me if im wrong... but thats what Bush had before he became President.

At least Edwards "Public Office" was in Washington at a National Level, and not at the State level like some.

And Kerry withdrew those remarks in Jan/Feb... while they were still campaigning against each other.

You just can’t help it can you? No matter what the subject is its always turned around and put back on Bush. This thread has nothing to do with the President its about the Democratic ticket but I’ll be damn if its not turning into a bash Bush thread.

It doesn’t matter if he withdrew the comments or not he still said them. He said what he thought and now once again he’s changed his tune.
