    $AU1699

Considering what this has got, i'm not sure if you would save anything doing it yourself..

Anybody have any idea what the motherboard is?

The video card appers to be some hybrid 9800pro - 9800xt, this review sounds great

Trust me, you will not find any card offering this sort of performance/cost ratio on the market right now. We highly recommend MSI RX9800PRO-TD128 128MB to anyone who is seeking great performance without having to deal with the devil.

The component spec looks pretty reasonable, but the case doesn't look to have much going for it. I don't see any mention of a monitor or speakers though.

I suppose the question you need to ask is how much support are you going to get from Aldi if it breaks down. They are not well known as suppliers of pc equipment, but that said they may simply farm out support to a third party company.

Yeah i did some further inquires and it has 2 spare pci slots but both are blocked, one by the video card and the other by cables.

Looks cramped to me not good airflow and could have heat issues. I would say build your own or find a better system if you have the money go here.

    ALIENWARE

Not sure if AUS can be delivered to ??????
