Audio Codec Probs For The Pianist

ok...heres the story:
i got the pianist
while it was d/l i used avipreview to check its validity; all fine but no audio
i let the dl finish
now i get good screen, no audio
i come to these boards to do a search on audio codecs, so i install 'klite full codec pack' and try bsplayer, it doesnt work. then i uninstalled that and tried direct show codec stuff, and it doesnt work!
so now im posting.. any help or ideas?
