if you are in grade 9 how old are you ?

14, give or take.
Does kindergarten count as a grade? [/b][/quote]
It is referred to as "k", you can think of it as zero (0).

So Primary Schools are k-6 (k,1,2,3,4,5,6)

Secondary 7,8 Some do a Middle School 6,7,8 variant

High School 9,10, 11, 12

One starts kindergarten at 5 years, or in my case, when I got out of prison. So by Grade 9 you are 14 as J2 stated.
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?

Like the first ever series of MST3k - that is referred to as the 'k' series and the secodn series is called series 1. Always wondered why that was...

It depends, because in the U.S. some kids start school late so it leaves them a grade behind. My school was accredited a lot diffrerently. We did not have 9, 10, 11, 12 and most of the kids graduated when they were 16.

In traditional public school about 15 provided they did not start late. Or a little more accurate would be 14 just about to turn 15.
