I have downloaded on two occasions the same audio files from different sources and the files show as playing in RealPlayer and Windos Media Player but there is no sound.
Does anyone know what is going on?
Thanks.

What are fakes anyway?
I thought maybe they were recorded wrong but I have downloaded from different users.
Again, what is p2p? I use Kazaa Lite ++ and have had no problem with any other files.
Check it out for yourself, search for the group "The Lonely Boys"
Thanks for your help.

I don't use kazaa, it's kinda' dead.
Try soulseek.
A fake might be a file someone made to take a pish at others, sort of a kazaa "humour" thing.
"I recorded 3 minutes of nothing, hahah"
And the fact that several users have it prolly means that they haven't checked the files yet, typical n00b thing, or it might be sort of like that clever RIAA trick the screechy MP3.
p2p=peer to peer, like kazaa or soulseek.

I can see how people may become driven to download everything that's available without checking their files; that's probably what's happened.
I am pleased with Kazaa but also new to filesharing. I will follow your advice and try soulseek.
SNNY, I appreciate for your help.
