Thread: Windows Update Prob

    my automatic update has downloaded the same update 4 times in 4 days..

    The update it is download is KB835732.

    Ne one else had this? Any reason why its doing it and advice on how to stop it?

    Turn off auto, I check for updates once a week manually .



    Edit : Did it install?

    yes. Uninstall shows the hotfix there but only once. I checked again before allowing it to install the 4th time and it was there, and after it still shows one copy, so is installing (obviously over the top).

    I'd rather keep the auto on...ne other way?

    After installing did you reboot? Other than that I have no Idea.




    Edit: Go to winupdates and try scan for critical updates , see what it says.

    It may sound a bit arse-over-tit, but you could try uninstalling it then reinstalling it.

    Perhaps it hasn't installed properly.

    Presumably you're installing using an Administrator Account, which has authority to update the registry, etc?

    un-install and then re-install from update page? ok will give it a shot. ta
