    It's time that I got a DVD Burner but I don't know much about types, formats, etc. I'm looking at this one:

    it's a good burner. It does both fromats + and -
    i cant advice on the price. I have no idea what the conversion from pounds to dollars is.

    Also have a look at DVD burners that can burn dual layers 4.7 X 2
    The technic is kinda new now though....

    Just wanted You to know.

    I have this drive.

    The firmware here allows you to unlock dual layer burning (which I haven't tested yet) and burn 4x disks at 8x (which I have tested and no coasters yet )

    So for 50 quid (what I paid) it's a bargain.

    Pay attention to the warnings though, you use the firmware at your own risk.

    yea you clould save some, but why not just get the 2510a, its dl recordable out of the box
    its what I just bought and only had one coaster, and that was a cdr
    it was my fault also, trying to upgrade imapi while burning didn't work

    Umm, the one I asked about is the NEC ND2510A, is that different?

    Withcheese is no doubt taking about the 2500, you can hack the firmware to make it dl compliant

    £59 - double-layer and no need to void your warranty.
