My copy of their first album has Eddie's fingerprints on it somewhere; I know this is true 'cuz he threw it at me from about 20 feet away.

BTW-Plinth suits me fine, though sometimes I find myself desirous of a great sibilant Sssssssss..., and choose a word like, oh...specious.

I saw Jaco play with Weather Report, in Edinburgh.

He played Purple Haze (Harmonic Chords et al) on a fretless bass.

Before anyone says Jaco who, if you need to ask then the answer will mean nothing to you.

Difficult to work out which is worse on their own.

Put them in context though and it is obvious.

Try "Come and sit on this ......".

    Flange wins by a mile.

I think Stanley and Jaco (now playing in God's band) had styles so different as to preclude comparison.

Particularly when thinking of Weather Report / Return to Forever.

If anyone is interested in listening to any of this stuff then I have a bit of shareage going on.

I think it is also impossible to do a Garry Moore / Al DiMeola comparison, they are both feckin geniuses to my mind.

Again plenty of shareage for the right sort.
