Thread: I Bumped My Cd Tray, Can It Be Fixed?

    Ok I was getting up and my cd tray was open and I bumped, now it wont go in or out...

    Do you think it can be fixed?

    lol, unlucky you.

    You can try reposistioning the tray (looking at the end to see if it matches up with the drive then you a firm strength to push it back in.

    (its like one of those messages, ummm I just turned round and there's a hole in my monitor. What should I do? ).

    hmm, too bad...

    luckily there is a cd-rw 48x read 48x write thats $40 and there is a mail in rebate of $30!

    Is the damage really that bad?

    I'm sure you will be able to fix it, try!. It can't of been hit that bad.

    Have you tried inserting an unfolded paper clip into the small hole on the CD drive's front panel?
    This looses up the mechanism and allows to move the drive tray.

    I dont know what you mean...

    I just looked at it at ground level, and it is slanted to the left
