I can't even bring myself to watch the latest iterations of "Reality" shows. I watched a Survivor here and there, and that's really the only one I could stand. All the rest are pretty much a load of pap.

I find it rather unfortunate that we are being fed the least amount of content for the least amount of money possible. And I find it insulting that there are so many. Obviously the viewership is there otherwise the shows would be cancelled. But I can't help getting the feeling that aside from certain gems, the entire television industry sees us as a bunch of lowbrow morons who will watch anything that's put in front of us.

The worst part about the whole thing is the more we watch, the more this view solidifies the attitudes which brought them around in the first place. I have had the opportunity to write for television and you would be amazed at some of the attitudes in the industry. There is nothing worse than having your script filled with incongruities and blatantly retarded trivialities, but it happens all the time. It happens because people people don't give the viewing audience credit that they have a mind of their own, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
