Yeah, I only ever use mine now to transmit my aquarium screensaver onto my widescreen TV downstairs, it impresses guests, that sort of thing, etc... B)

You can get a DVD player for under $100US that will play Divx files.
I recently bought the Philips DVP642 for $70 and it works like a champ.
