who the fuck has an ELECTRIC fucking shower
    double tee eff

    Is there another sort?
in my country, its not recommended to have any electronics near our showers/bath tubs unless your trying to kill yourself
then by all means take the hairdryer or a toaster with your next bath [/b][/quote]

shit stuff in the UK is too confusing.

here we just turn on a light and it works.

in the uk (not all of it, just older places) you gotta insert a coin to make the power go.

here we turn a tap and our shower goes.

in the uk you gotta pull a cord\flick a switch\plug stuff in\trip switched\etc just to get some hot water

not to mention those huge-ass electrical plugs you guys have.

well, i shouldn't be talking, look at ours:

see any resemblence to this guy: ?

I'm with you, ROSSCO. It doesn't make any sense.

To use a shower both hot and cold water taps are turned on and adjusted to the right temperature and then a small valve to redirect the water to the spray showerhead.

The hot water comes from a separate tank water heater:

    No coins, switches, strings etc.

    super cascade.

my shower has one tap that does the hot and the cold. just push up to make water run, then twist to change temperature.

Yeah, me too. But I was just sticking to basics of how it works.

The Super Cascade was the first picture that popped up from my search.

Probably the fuse has blown, or the switch is knackered.

My Gran has got one of those showers that you connect from the taps, it appears she is at the cutting edge of North American self-cleaning technology

I don't know anyone else without an electric shower, weird. This thread was funny and enlightening at the same time!
