Digital Cable Box

Does anyone know if it is possible to get caught using a fixed digital cable box. A friend of mine is suposed to be geting a few and i was just wondering if it is safe to use?

yes they have ways of finding out, depending on how much they really want to catch you. In my town, they drive around neighborhoods monitoring signals to see if you are using cable when you are not paying for it.

i have never heard of people getting caught for this other then either accidently or buying hardware from sources that get raided.
