Currently I Have a GeForce2 MX/MX 400 64 MB and I want to upgrade my video card soon.

    My system specs are:
    Intel pentium 4 1800 MHz
    256 MB RDRAM
    GeForce2 MX/MX 400
    40 GB HDD
    Creative Soundblaster Audio PCI 128
    ASUS P4T MotherBoard

What video card would you recommend for my system.I don't want to buy a high-end card that will suffer on my system because I don't have enough RAM or my processor is to slow.

I want a video card that fits to my system.

BTW, maybe I will upgrade my RAM to 512 MB.But I'm not quite sure yet.

Any card will run. just at 4x instead of the faster 8x. but it isn't really that much faster so it doesn't matter.

For that PC, I would go for something like: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-122-177&depa=1

    or: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-102-314&depa=1

Another choice would be to not upgrade at all and save your money for a new PC.

No point in going for the Radeon 9200, it isn't DirectX 9 compliant, and it is slower than the FX5200 (and that one is more expensive too).

This is the cheapest DirectX 9 complant Radeon I can find on Newegg.

your motherboard only supports up to 4x...

that wouldn't stop me from getting something good though. It will still be running near it's peak performance and u could always buy a new mobo down later on in life.

    If I had the choice:

    FX 5600 VS. ATI 9600

    Which one ?

    Or:

    5200 VS 9200 ?

    Which one ?

Just in case if it comes down to a binary choice
