    when i try to play any video no video comes up, only sound, hmm worked before, any suggestion, this is on windows media player works on other players : (

    WMP sucks.

    try installing the codec pack again. or insstall media player again.

    do you happen to be using a video card with a tv out and you have both the tv out and vga out on at the same time. If you have it a certain way only the tv will display the video of wmp or the vga will display the wmp video.... maybe you have it to tv? Sorry thats a bit confusing but I don't know the correct terms.

    the only thing hooked to my pc are joystick controller speakers keyboard mouse and monitor..


    will someone please think of anything

    stop using media player.

    how about media player classic? video lan? winamp!?

    try installing the DirectX again, get codec's and update ur VGA Driver.
    and try another player to see if get same problem if dont then the problem is with the WMP. and cheak if ur video setting is seted to defualt setting in desktop propeties.
