    Robbie Knievel to Give TNT Viewers a Front-Row Seat in Live Motorcycle Jump From New York's USS Intrepid* Celebrating Premiere of TNT Original Movie EVEL KNIEVEL

    From New York, Robbie Knievel Jumps the USS Intrepid*, will air live on TNT Saturday, July 31, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)

    Knievel will attempt the world's first jump over an array of military aircraft on the deck of the USS Intrepid*, a former aircraft carrier docked in New York Harbor.

    This is true, otherwise he would have slid off the Intrepid into the murky waters
    of the New York Harbor....could have ruined his day.


    I think the jump came close to disaster however.
    If you see the jump again, watch the landing. Very similar to his dad&#39;s landing when he jumped over the Fountains at Caesar&#39;s Palace Las Vegas in 1968 shattering his pelvis, fracturing his hip, and smashing his right femur.
    At the point of impact on the Intrepid, "Kaptain" Robbie&#39;s bike began a fish-tail which he was fortunate enough to pull out of right away.
    Other than that it was almost entertaining.

    I wonder if he followed in his father&#39;s footsteps by taking a shot of
    Wild Turkey before every jump to settle his nerves?

    He started hyping his next jump which apparently would be an attempt over the Snake River Canyon in Idaho which dad failed to do using the famous, albeit dysfunctional, X-2 Skycycle in 1974.
