Really Weird!

Windows XP desktop does'nt start up all the sudden!!! It shows the boot screen with the windows xp logo, but then after that it goes to black and stays that way for a long time...


I use Zone Alarm, Norton Antivirus, XP Pro, Linksys router, etc etc.
^I update everything includeing windows and now all the sudden it does not load up the system!! I mean, it shows the damn normal loading progress thing in dos, but then it just goes black and stays that way....
This all started when my mouse stoped working...so i restart the computer. All the sudden, it just doesnt start...WTF this never even happend.. i mean I've used this machine with xp for awhile now and i'm practicly an expert with it.. this does'nt make since


I tried, but failed with:
1.Leaving computer off for few hours to cool off
2.Useing Nothing hooked to the computer except the power cord, then later plugged in moniter.
3. Useing norton disk to scan for viruses.
4. Useing the xp recorery console (the damn thing also froze..hmm)

are they shutting peepz down? n e 1 get this? Hell, I also had a hardware firewall too.. major protection.

N e helping suggestions would be appreciated.

ah, found out it was my 2nd hd...uhg, and I did all these tests... hope the wire is just bad..
