    hm...I would prob go with a 2.8C and make sure it was a 30 capper and OC it to about 3.6Ghz or so.

    My friend has a A64 3000 and it scores lower then my 3200XP in aquamark and stuff...maybe in 64bit apps it will be much better though.

    Not much of a price difference, with the amd 64 now days is there?

    I still say get: Athlon XP 2500+ and run it @3200+ speed.

    Or higher
    I have mine running at nearly 2.5Ghz (the non mobile version, also locked), 2.46 to be exact. Could probably go higher if I&#39;d like but my ram would be really stressed.
    I must say it&#39;s the best bang for your buck.

    damn ur ram runs that much faster...you think my high qaulity mushkin would? If i loosend timings to like 3-4-4-8 or even more? I think my chipset would get too hot though.

    Yeah I have my ram set at 11-3-3-2.5 and it is running at 446Mhz I think (stock 400Mhz)
    I also have the Zalman northbridge cooler my northbridge to keep that cool as well.
