Hi, just for information. I got a PayPal scam email this morning that was very sophisticated-- they seem to be able to fake the real https://www.paypal.com website on the address bar, even when you're not really at the PayPal site.

Watch out for this one-- any real email from PayPal will always address you by your real name, not as 'valued customer' or something.

Details (if anyone cares) are the scam email is redirecting you through this URL: This site places a spoof PayPal address in your address bar, that emulates the real PayPal site precisely. (Anyone know how it does this?) I logged in to it with a fake ID and keyed in a bunch of garbage information. It even asked for my ATM personal ID number! If you want to amuse yourself this morning, try it out from the suyilien URL above (but of course key in a fake email address and password, and bogus data.)

The https:// string at the start of a URL indicates that the connection is being made through SSL, the secured sockets layer. In other words, it is encrypted.
