Read the damn websites FAQ. :rtfm: By cross-linking the sites images and making them reload a bunch of times they are draining the sites bandwidth. Basically a cheap version of a DOS attack.

Why you'd want to is beyond me...but I imagine that m$ and Google have a lot more bandwidth than some lowlife crooks. It would be kind of like trying to empty a swimming pool with a tea spoon. (Unless lots of people started doing it...)

A mod throttle is a piece of software that is designed to reduce the load on your server and reduce bandwidth consumed by recurrent users (and other stuff) by 'throttling' the connection.

I suppose Shn was telling us what the scammers could do to protect their site.
