i was just building a computer for my friend and was about to put the case fan in but the none of the screws from the packet we got from the case fit

do i have to buy the screws for the case fans seperately?
is there an alternative?

btw im building a AMD 2500+ with a MSI KT4AV also bought some 512DDR@PC3200 B)

i have 2 case fans and im going to try and overclock as far as i can without any extra cooling than i already have....

do you think i will be able to overclock till 3200+ without adding more cooling?

and yes i did put the thermal paste in already and dint put too much and i also spread it nicely and neatly....

so far all i have done is just put the HSF on the cpu(the motherboard isnt even in the case yet). and then i just started wondering of the case fans suddenly :helpsmile:

the case fans should come with screws....... theyre usually kinda cylindrical shaped screws, like this:

Write and complain.

I've never come across case fans that didn't have mounting screws.

my 4 euro case fans did

anyway, just go to the store (compstore) and ask for 4 case fan screws (4 for each fan that is)

now if the salesperson doesnt know what you mean, get the hell outta there!!!!!

just make sure its really secure..... you dont want your fan to knock off something of you mobo or something like that......

you can try hot glue, might be a lil more work replacing the fan after it dies though
