I just downloaded Spiderman 2 off Suprnova. The filename is:

    Spiderman.2.repack-screener-fr-en.rv10.ogg

When I play it, I can hear the audio (which I set from french to english) but I can't see any video. I figure I'm probably missing a codec, but I don't know which one. Can someone help me please?

I downloaded the K-Lite update pack and it works fine (I already had videolan, that's how I was able to hear the audio)...

    The files are both named:

    Spiderman.2.repack-screener-fr-en.rv10.ogg

    and

    Spiderman.2.repack-screener-fr-en.rv10.ogg

Is it possible to burn them to VCD for my DVD player?

Are ogg files not audio? I thought they were. Not too sure though.

.ogg is audio only. They prob made the release for it being out of sync

The end of the filename is .ogg, but windows says that:

the 1KB file is and MD5 file

the 700+ meg file is an MKV file.

    Any ideas?

I think you have something like a .mkv because of the ".rv10.ogg" .rv10 is realplayer and the other well... an ogg audio, videolan will play the audio but not the other now Real Alternative is suppose to play them but I could never do it.

Matroska (mkv) is not a codec (like MPEG-1, XviD, DivX, or VP3), but a container (like OGM) where you can
    put video(s) + audio(s) + sub(s). Supported audio formats include Ogg Vorbis, AAC, MP3, and AC3
I wrote this before my tea but never posted it but I now see you know what you have (an headache well I did), these files may be smaller and better (according to one source) but I found it a real pain and still haven't found a way to get them to an avi.
A program I found handy was Mkvtoolnix which told me the inners of the file here :
    http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/
Plus read all because you will need MPlayer to "see" your file(s).

Is it possible to burn them to VCD for my DVD player?
Have a look at this page :http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/108498.php
    Program named is at: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avi2vcd.html

This program is an *.avi to uncompressed PCM audio *.avi converter. It accepts an input avi which has both audio and video, and if the audio is compressed, decompresses it to PCM. The video remains unchanged. Whatever format the video portion is in remains untouched. If the input avi audio is not compressed, the audio remains unchanged.
This didn't work for me either but its great if you have an AC3 to take it down to a normal mp3 with VirtualDub.

    Edit:
By the way my file is Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban DVDrip Eng .mkv

I realized that to make the KVCD I want (I meant to say that instead of VCD before  ), I can use ACP with MKV files after all! I've used ACP before with AVI files and it worked great. However, there's a problem. If I choose an AVI file, it works fine, but when I select my MKV file, ACP freezes up and stops responding. I've tried restarting the computer and even reinstalling the program, but it still isn't working.

Can anyone either help fix my problem with ACP or recommend another automated KVCD creation program that supports MKV files, or even recommend a way to convert MKV/MD5 files to AVI so I can use ACP??????

    Thanks!
    DSF
