    If you archived your files it should be in your add/remove program thing. If not i think there may be away around it but not sure. Why would you want to anyway?

    i need to install older drivers on my motherboard, it wont allow me to do so with SP1 installed, so i need to uninstall it i have a copy so reinstalling wont be hard

    put the windows xp disc in and choose to upgrade, this way it will re-install xp with all the apps in place but remove sp1 and all the windows updates.

    Alternatively, if you installed sp1 recently, you can use system restore to return your system to before you installed sp1. But be warned you need to zip up all the executable files you have on your system after the restore point date, because system restore will remove them all otherwise.

    ok thanks im on vacation right now so ill do that when i get home.. BTW if i do the upgrade... will that erase all of my programs? or wll it just deal with Windows components?
