    How do i make a 420k image for this forum as a sig meet the requirements of THIS forum, how do i compress the image so it will fit.

    You could make it smaller or compress it to jpg or gif if it is in a another format.

    How do you save as jpg? Select jpg in the save-as requester's file-type drop down box, of course.
    To change the amount of compression there's usually a 'properties' button or something in the save-as requester.

    Do you need to ask about everything or do you sometimes have a little look around first?
    Try getting into the habit of attempting to work things out for yourself first (in all things, not just computers) as you'll find doing it will help you get along faster in later life.
