    and prying the battery out was hard too

    You shouldn't have to pry out the battery.
    It is retained with a little spring clip...pushing in the clip pops the battery right out.

    Well you could try what I did the other day. I dropped a metal screw in the case. If you can believe it ,while putting the case on it's side to retrive the bloody thing . I reset the cmos . Scared the hell out of me, on a reboot. I swear I pulled the power cord too.


    Edit : Was installing a PCI card .

    the screw touched something and made it reset?

    how lucky is that lol.

    i've had screws, heatsync, all sorts of stuff fall on my video card WHILE IT WAS RUNNING and nothing happened any of the times.

    @ ROSSCO_2004 No word of a lie , surprised me the hell out of me . Must of shorted the pins on the mobo ?

    On reboot , it wouldn't load went to bios setup !

    Yep, Hmmm default settings or optimal settings ? Oh what the hell it&#39;s a p2 266 mmx a friends child&#39;s puter . So I hold my breath and cross my fingers, go for the optimal ever time &#33;
