kids 3 and under are free

    Adult: $7.75
    Matinee: $5.50
    Senior: $5.50
    Child: $5.25
    Student: $6.50

Those are the nearbye Star Theater here in Grand Rapids, MI.

For the most part, (we have 8 theaters, ranging from 20 screens to 5), they are all pretty close in price... some the of the smaller ones maybe be 50cents cheaper or so.

Not as bad as alot of places, but we are over satturated with theaters, (statistics show something like 1 screen per so many people in a area), we have way more screens then we can supposedly support, so I think that keeps our prices competitive.

whoa thats pretty cheap. I wish our theaters had a student ticket category, do you just show them your body card? Thats pretty kool. According to my movie theater they make all of their money off of concesions and all of the ticket sales go to the production companys.

About 8.50 here in ohio, but we have a $3 movie theater that has a full bar and booth/round table seeting area behind the standard rows. It gets the movies about a month after the other theaters, but it is worth the wait. I love having someone serve me my favorite scotch while I watch a movie.

Here it's 31 NIS (approximately equivalent to $6.5 US) for all ages in all theatres that i've been to.

But get this, in Vancouver, Canada, there's a theatre where a ticket costs $2.5... CANADIAN!!! but an average ticket there costs from $5 to $8 (CA).

In Toronto those bastards removed all the $2.50 cinema and I think that sucks ass!
and thats pretty much why I rather download divx than going to movies and pay 11.50 for the experience
