    It has been the second tuesday of the month again, which means that Microsoft has released some new security updates.

    But why every tuesday? You'd think that something as important as a security update would be released as soon as it has been made.

    Not every tuesday, only once a month. I guess it is to keep things simple for people who need to update lots of computers at once.

    Wouldn't it be a good idea then to let people choose when to receive the new updates?
    Either get them as soon as they're available or choose a set date every month or week.

    thats why they release the updates every first tuesday of the month. People have nicknamed it black tuesday because thats the day they have to update there networks.

    ya every first tuesday is what i meant.

    still seems dumb though, the admins can update however often they want to.

    Oh that was fun ,just updated my xp office products . On restart got the BSOD. Special ,is in't Microsoft fun?

    ya anyone noticed microsoft software always takes hours to install, usually at the copying files part?
    all other software, better software, installs at a fraction of the time.

    good example is internet explorer 6 on windows 98. Takes about 30 mins to isntall with a 333mhz computer, while firefox can isntall in 30seconds max.
