I really really like Opera, but I hear constant praise for Firefox. Is it really worth the switch?

Only you can answer that question. It's a matter of preference. I used Opera for years, but switched to Firefox a couple of months ago. Opera has customizability, but Firefox has a bit more speed and stability.

Try it for yourself.
