NAV corp. won't enable auto protect?

help,,I just d/l newest norton AV corporation,from hash,from the start i think i screwed it up,the file came in rar format,and i dont think i converted it properly,but fluke i got it all done,works fine,scanning etc.,but when i click the ;enable auto-protect'' button it says it failed to load.??some1help pleeeaaassse
