Can I transfer files from my desktop to my laptop using the LAN lead?

If so, how do I do this?

    Cheers,
    Hugo.

Just connect both computers through an ethernet cable and you should have a network...I believe.

If you have them both pluged in under one router then go to Network Connections and it should be there.

Make both computer on the same workgroup, with differen computer names, then riht click folders\drives you want to share and go to sharing, name it, then on the other computer go to my network places\network neighborhood and u can see the folders.
