don't know about PS2, but it's definately a buy for xbox (i'm pretty sure u can't listen to your own music on the PS2 version, xbox on the other hand).

Does it have a good free for all option where you can just drive around and do as you please, or are you stuck in a game, missions mode?

There is no free roam mode...missions and races only...which means it gets boring after a month...

Its a good game but without free ride it kinda sucks
so far i havn't heard any bad stuff about this game it looks like something to keep an eye on.

It gets very repetitive. But good to play on xbox live or with friends. Otherwise it gets boring. XBOX is a total party machine
