Google Video to AVI and Ipod Video

I'm getting an Ipod Video tomorrow and have some GVI stuff downloaded I'd like to convert to AVI to use Videora to convert to Ipod MP4 or H264 without having to redownload the stuff as "Ipod Video" from Google Video...How can I do this?

Also, which is the better codec to use? MP4 or H264? There's a lot of different profiles to use with Videora and I don't know which is the best one to use for say, a 90 minute live concert.
