As I'm trying to make a back-up of a movie and I need to fit it on a regular dvd-r I have to cut out some stuff.
But I'm not sure which of the two Audio files for the main movie I can leave out.

    AC3 5.1-ch English
    or
    DTS 5-ch English

My guess is that the AC3 5.1-ch English is Suround, but I'm not sure.

    hmm...asspie

DTS is the best sound available but not every DVD player supports it.
So I would choose for AC3 5.1-ch English and disable the DTS.

But if you only back-up the main movie I think you can have both audio streams.

Take out the DTS. Its higher quality but unless you have 6 top quality speakers with the best system around your not gonna hear the difference.

I already took out all the extras, but it's still too big.
And I would like to keep the menu though.

I'll have to check if my dvd-player supports DTS but i think it does.
    It's a KISS DP-500.

I would still uncheck the DTS even if your DVD player supports it, or remove the menu, I always delete menus if the DVD is 2 big I prefer quality instead of having a menu with less picture quality.

I just see that you are going to compress the DVD to 55% of the original quality???

I would NEVER do that, delete that menu inmediatly

    settings I would use:

only backup the main movie with AC3 5.1-ch English sound and dutch subs.
Backup with the settings in the picture this way the quality will become much better (disavantage is that it would take double the time for the back-up process)

    Shit!

I thought DVDShrink compressed at highest quality possible automaticly.
Thanks for informing me on that one.

    Got a problem here.

I cancelled the back-up to change the settings as you provided, but when I click back-up again it just continues the back-up from the point where I cancelled.

I exited DVDShrink so I could start fresh, but it still continues from where I cancelled.

How can I make it so that it just starts from the beginning?

Go to the folder where you wanted to save the files for the backup. delete all the files and try again.

yeah,I kinda figured i had to do that.
And that's the problem,I chose "My Documents" as target folder but there's nohing in there.

Think I'll have to search my C: now.

    edit: found it!
    Deleted the folder.
restarted DVDShrink and it still resumes the back-up at the point where I cancelled it.
