you have to post the hashes of these things so we can avoid them (or at least give us file size name etc.)

look in the verifieds to get files w/ out viruses.

I know you mean well, but the best way to prevent viruses is to have an up to date AV scanner and to check file sizes.

This worms been around since July 2002 and as long as you have a up-to-date AV you should be OK.

how can you check file size on a file you don't know the size of untill you get it ? A crack or serial isnt going to be listed on any web site to do with the product ? or am I missing something here

I got careless a few days ago and opened an .exe before scanning it. It was infected with crackerbox.exe, which is a Trojan that tries to DOS-bombard MP3.com. Fortunately, it was easy to get rid of. Norton sometimes catches virii on the DL, while it's still in .dat form. It's caught WLHandy a couple times that way. Usually, though, I have to scan to catch them.
