Same problen here using NOD32 2.5 even with the IMON disable.... it freeze BT
guys, u dun have to disable IMON...
u can exclude ur bittorrent client from NOD32's monitor
here's how:
in ur NOD32's main window, click on the IMON section
now on the right window, click Setup
goto Miscellaneous tab
here u'll see a section called "Exclusion", click on Edit
now, just click Add and hunt down ur bittorrent program (the exe file)
apply the changes and they won't bother each other anymore

Good job, Gildan! Now I don't have to hunt through my NOD32 and type it out for him.
Also,
Add the exclusions in AMON.
"Amon"-"setup"-click the "Exclusions" tab.
I've included others besides torrent programs...Nero, SpySweeper, etc.
why would you do that? what if a virus infects one of those programs?Originally Posted by IronRanger

It's a sandbox for virii...it may infect ONE program, but it's not going to propagate outside that particular folder. The infected program can always be reinstalled. But, I think the main point here is for the user...obviously he's going to use P2P, so why disable ALL protection (like the other posters suggested). This, to me, is a safe alternative.why would you do that? what if a virus infects one of those programs?
I do have to amend my statement about adding other programs to the exclusions list, I'd just stick to the torrent program being excluded. I'm an experienced user (I worked security forums until a few months ago.)
i am using bittornado and if you go to prefs then go to advanced set up you can cap your connections to about 50 and this should stop the freeze up with nod 32 . it is working for me.
works also great with Azureus when you exclude the java.exeOriginally Posted by gildan2020
And now, you are safe again with NOD32 ... hehe

No prob, i've been through this problem in the past as well.Originally Posted by IronRanger
Excluding from AMON is unnecessary, if not dangerous. In fact rossco is right, u dun wanna take such chances.
