Our local council hold a big fireworks display every year in one of the many parks in the town. there is no charge. It is going on at the moment and was preceded by three bands playing to the audience. It is happening a few hundred yard from me.
It cost the council a lot of money to run this every year. I think the fireworks alone costs about £50,000. But has proved a big success by reducing the number of accidents and fire call outs.
