Would someone like to describe what the hell an "anonymizer" is?
It hides your IP adress by going via another ip\site(proxy) so sites dont know where your coming from
PC >> ISP >> Proxy >> Website.
Your ISP sees the proxy as just another server IP number firing data at it.
Also, adding to what 15% said, they sometimes help you get access to sites that apear to be down.
what I mean is like, well, example:
my website, tvg.cjb.net, always works for people, but for me once a day, sometimes longer, i have a period of time where i just cant get onto the site, or anything else related to the site, including php. It's very annoying and I thank god that proxies are there to get me through it.
