xp should have the drivers for it, is it the pen drive type?

try going to windows update with the player plugged in

edit: since it is a usb drive type there arent any drivers availabile, as it will install as a usb mass storage device under my computer

    Download the driver from: http://www.sumvision.com.cn/MP3.shtml

If that doesn't work then you need to install the drivers for your USB port.

    link doesnt work

i have a feeling the problem is having sp2, this screwed over my scanner aswell. It works fine without doing anything on comps with xp and still on sp1. Is there a fix to solve this at all?

Works for me but the page is a bit slow to load.

Or you could try: www.sumvision.com.cn directly and then navigate to where I was by clicking Products then MP3 Player.

Edit: Ok forget it. I just read the post from Livy.
