Often but not always I get a very weird pop-up from no where. The pop-up is an advertisment and I used spybot, and window washer to try to get rid of it but it still there. Any ideas what I can do?

is it messenger spam maybe?
start>run>services.msc>find "messenger" on the list>right click>properties>click "stop">then change startup type to "disabled"
also you should run hijackthis! after removing spyware to make sure you get rid of every last trace.
run it, sav ethe log, then post it here.

If you attack the establishment long enough and hard enough, they will make you a member of it.

offeroptimizer is a transponder type hijacker. It runs as a browser helper object
(listed as BHO in hijackthis)
Ad-Aware SE should clean it out. If it dosen't, then download the VX2 plugin for Ad-Aware SE and run the plugin.
Download the latest version of Ad-Aware SE from here.
Close all open browsers and windows.
Open Ad-Aware and from the main screen Click on "Check for Updates Now".
Click on the "Scan Now" button on the left.
Under "Select Scan Mode, select "Perform full system scan".
Click on "Next" in the bottom right corner to start the scan.
Run the Ad-Aware scan and allow it to remove everything it finds and then reboot
After you log back in, Ad-Aware may run to finalize the scan and remove any locked files that it found. Allow it to finish.
Download and install the VX2 Cleaner add-on for Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/...2cleaner.shtml
To run it, open Ad-Aware and click "add-ons", doubleclick VX2 Cleaner
