This is a flat screen 17in. monitor, not flat pannel. It will cost you $134 here .

This monitor is a good choice if you are looking for a fairly cheap, good quality CRT. There are only a couple of problems. The top and bottom lines are wavy, which I have seen other people say, so it must be a common problem. Also, the screen changes quite often...you have to move the horizontal position a lot...which gets pretty annoying. I was real pissed when I first got it because of the lines, but I dont notice them much anymore.

This monitor is a lot brighter and more vibrant then the syncmasters that I have seen.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap/good 17in. CRT.

    I give it 4 nukes outa 5

    Not all of them.
although i guess i might not have seen your exact one.

but the syncmaster 753df (17in, my monitor) is by far the brightest, best picture quality, monitor that i've seen. I compared it to a few different viewsonics.

but most of the syncmasters do suck it's just the 753df and it's higher sized models that are good.

    mine's 100 on 800*600
    85 on 1024*768
    75 on 1152*864.

the 75 is still not very flickery.

edit: here it says that the viewsonic e70f+ does these refresh rates:
    1280 x 1024 @ 66Hz
    1024 x 768 @ 87Hz
    800 x 600 @ 110Hz
