I wonder who has really won?

George was severely hindered from speaking out in April 03 when this broke and a newspaper that has traditionally been anti-Blair has been soundly embarrassed.

Somebody wins twice here and it is neither George or The Telegraph.

You have my sincerest sympathy, Big Les.

    You must be utterly...bereft.

Newspapers shouldnt be allowed to print stuff that hasn't been checked

Of Course, that doesnt mean he didn't... just that you actually need evidence before printing it

Although I seem to recall that a certain broadcasting station got into a lot of trouble for far less.

I may be wrong but I suspect that The Telegraph was pawned by some black propaganda. The documents plus their in-built hatred of George resulted in the massive day after day attacks. No doubt many years hence someone will come out the wordwork and say "yes I planted those documents" but as ever it will be purely for historical nicety.
