Thread: Some images not visable in IE

    I had this problem a few months ago and now a friend has it, but I couldn't find the thread again so here we go...


    Alot of the pictures on webpages aren't visible. They just display that ugly red 'Page cannot be displayed' where each picture should be. It only seems to be certain pages though (or maybe just certain types of pictures). Anyways, the solution was simply (un)checking a box. Does anyone remember this thread or know the solution?

    I remember the solution was so easy too, that's what's irritating me.

    Its probably in your hosts file
    located C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
    open the "hosts" file in notepad and remove lies which you think could be blocking those images

    There's nothing there. I don't think that was it. Like I said, I think was a check box.

    Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > See if that jogs your memory.

    if nothing works try firefox, far more better than ie

    Firefox.


    try going to tools>internet options>delete temp internet files and cookes.
    See if that helps?

    Maybe this sort of image isnt able to be opened in his Internet Explorer. Maybe he needs to edit his filetypes?
